Note:  Due to the current budgetary crisis in the State of California, there is a hiring freeze in effect.  However, the Director of Corrections has notified all prisons that Chaplaincy positions will continue to be filled at the current time. If you are in looking for a position, contact the listed institutions and/or the State Economic Development Department in your area for the current status on openings and the process for applying for a position. When you get to the page, enter "chaplain" in the search field and it will show all openings in the state.
